These are estimates, not official P&O pricing — pay-as-you-go bar prices, not package prices. They're broadly London-pub level: a pint around £6.25, a large glass of wine under £10, cocktails £8.50–12. P&O adds no service charge on top — what the menu says is what you pay.

What a real bar bill looks like

One couple documented every receipt over a 14-night cruise: £550 in drinks, against the £1,540 the Classic package would have cost them — they'd have needed to more than double their drinking to break even (Lotus Eaters Travel).

That's them. As a worked example, the break-even sits around 7 classic cocktails or 9 pints per person per day against the on-board Classic price — but your actual break-even depends on what you drink, and on how much you drink on sea days versus port days. Run your own numbers.
