There is no single "package price": what you pay depends on cruise length and when you buy. A couple on a 7-night cruise pays £770 for Classic bought on board — or £686 pre-booked. Most sites only publish the 15+ nights price, which is the one fewest people actually pay.
What each package includes
Draught soft drinks, regular and large. Nothing else — no canned drinks, no coffee.
Everything in Refresh, plus selected small Costa Coffee, Pukka teas and mocktails.
Everything above, plus cocktails, 25ml spirits, beers, cider, 175ml wines and prosecco. 20% off drinks not included. Under-18s in the same cabin get Refresh free.
Everything in Classic, plus an extended cocktail range, 50ml spirits, 250ml wines, craft beers and perfect serves.

Rules that catch people out
- Every adult in the cabin must buy the same package — you can't buy one and share.
- 15 alcoholic drinks per 24 hours, counted from 6am. One drink at a time. Soft drinks stay unlimited.
- Minimum 5 nights — no packages on short cruises.
- Buying on board? The 10% discount only applies via pre-book, up to 3 days before sailing.
- No per-drink price cap. Classic and Deluxe differ by serving size (175ml vs 250ml wine, 25ml vs 50ml spirits) and cocktail range, not price.
- P&O adds no service charge — tips are in the fare. US lines add 18% per drink; our calculators account for it per line.

Do children need a package too?
Under-18s get the Refresh package free when an adult in the cabin has Classic or Deluxe.
Can I buy the package once I'm on board?
Yes, during the first two days — but at full price. The 10% discount is pre-book only.
Is there a limit on what I can order?
15 alcoholic drinks per 24 hours (from 6am), one at a time. There's no per-drink price cap — the tiers differ by serving size and range.
Does P&O add gratuities to drinks?
No. Service is included in P&O's prices — unlike Royal Caribbean or Carnival, which add 18% per drink.
